Just moved to new apartment. The root modem is in a wall in my bedroom closet. Despite having 1200 down, walls make internet suck in the living room.

What is the best, most efficient way to speed up Wi Fi throughout house?

Is it as simple as hard wiring directly from the Xfinity modem to another, more centralized router in the living space? I don’t play games too often, so latency isn’t much of a concern.
