I’m no dev, but I think the game works by granting you an additional 20 “ghost health”. For example if you spawn in with 100 hp you will down taking 100 damage, but the game registers that you actually have a total health pool of 120 hp. If you take more than 120 damage while being a 1 armor you will die. If you take 119 damage you will be downed. When you’re picked up you are at 20 HP, and do not retain this ghost health obviously. If your teammate is on 10 HP and you want to do a reset (not tactically advantageous as an extra 10 hp won’t help you much in a gunfight) you would have to do less than 30 damage as to not outright kill your teammate. Don’t quote me on this though
