I feel like this take is gonna get some hate, but idc I’ve gotta say it, it was way more fun being a fan when we went 6-10 every year. I love having a good quarterback and good receivers and a good defense now, but all this talk about “superbowl or bust” is exhausting, I miss the days when we were just happy to make the playoffs or get a one of victory against the Pats.

I’ll never forget it, 4th and 12 on the 49 yard line, Andy Dalton steps back and throws deep to Tyler Boyd, he runs it in for a touchdown, game over 27-24, the Bills make the playoffs for the first time since 1999. That was the first time we made the playoffs in my life, I knew they really just got lucky and were as mid as any other year, but it didn’t matter, my Bills were in the fucking playoffs. The 10-3 game that followed was the best game I’d ever seen.

There were other times like this too, the time we shut out the Pats in 2016 when they had Brisset in, the time we got the win against Brady in 2011 with Fitzy (its awesome seeing him now in his retirement cheering us on, he’ll always be Bills Mafia).

But yea, like I’m happy to see this team actually do well now, and not go 6-10 every year, and I don’t miss those days, but it was more fun back then.

Falcons fan here. 90s Bills fans are the only people who I think have any idea what 28-3 was like from a fans perspective imo.

Atlanta has been a seven win team 5 of the past 6 years and it looks like we’re heading there again.

I totally get what you’re saying, there definitely is a level of fun that comes from a lack of expectations but man even knowing the ending I miss that 2016 season all the time.
