I am trying to create a shared folder on the network to access files from my windows 11 PC on my iPad.

I have my made my PC discoverable on my home network and enabled the sharing on the folder that I wish to share. The folder is set to share to ‘Everyone’ in the user groups. Password protected sharing is off in the settings.

When I am adding the folder in the files app on the iPad, after I put in the IP address of my PC (found using the ipconfig command), it asks for a username and password. My computer is set to sign in using a PIN, not a password. The pin does not work when entering my displayed username. If I set the user as guest in the iPad while connecting to the server, it does not connect and gives me an error.

Am I missing something? I presume the problem is with the credentials, if so where can I get these from?
