I was so excited for him initially, and then was really underwhelmed when he basically became the new worst punter in the league with mediocre hang times and short distances.

But just looking at the stats, it feels like there’s been some noticeable improvement. He’s getting something like 6 more yards/punt on average, from about ~40 his first three games to about ~46 in the latest four games, but I can’t tell if that’s at the expense of hangtime or from lucky bounces or anything else.

Any hard hitting punting analysts have some insight to add?

    He’s looked better and every punter is bad (well at least not great) their first year, but have yet to see anything that justifies the pick we used on him.
