That post game interview where Gannon says he changed his mind about being the starter and that prior to the game he was the guy until Kyler got back but after the game he didn’t need to see the tape to know he wasn’t the guy

Seems like a rough thing for a new coach to say but predictable scapegoating of a first year head coach on a a 2nd string turned starter.

But what if Gannon actually favours Dobbs and knows that with K1 on the way back, he won’t have the starting job that Gannon maybe believes he deserves? What if he said those things publicly to tank his trade value so he could go to a team that just lost a QB for the season that afternoon because the Cardinals had 0 leverage and the Vikings were in desperate need?

Some copium for us perhaps. I really hope Jaren Hall lights it up and Dobbs is just insurance so we don’t have to rush Mullens or Mannion back just in case Hall gets sniped.

But he might be much better insurance than we think.
