I mean it’s the ATP tour what do you expect. Alcaraz is awesome but he’s not Novak/nadal/fed … (and maybe never will be) he can lose and to a tour with such depth with guys like safuillin who are in form, then it doesn’t surprise me.

This is a massive hit for Carlos getting YE#1. If Djokovic makes it to SF and is eliminated there, he is 860 ahead before Turin. Djokovic would then have to do poorly in the finals, and Alcaraz would likely have to win them.

If Djokovic wins Paris, he is almost guaranteed to win YE#1, because Djokovic would have to lose every match, and Alcaraz would have to win every match to take a 10 point lead.
