I know we need to see how he does and actually play but I’m just curious what the situation is . I’m guessing he’s gonna be too expensive long term and would probably leave especially if he gets a SB ring. Still, I’m sure he’d love to play on this caliber of a team and the Niners would love to have this caliber of a player.

    If history is any indicator they will sign him and continue to neglect the OLine and secondary.

    Even if he stays or leaves it’s a genius move for Lynch. If he balls out and plays like a star DE then that’s great during a win now year. He will then get paid more than likely by another team and this will get the 9ers a comp 3rd, the same they gave up to get him anyway so it’s a free pickup. If he sucks, well then he’s only costing 561k this year and is a FA so it’s a low risk massive reward move. And another scenario is if somehow they rearrange some money through restructures and resign him but at the present it’s a very low risk move.
