First of all, there’s literally no excuse for this front 4 to not tear this league a new one. The level of talent we have is well beyond simply absurd. It’s up to our DC to now use the front and secondary in sync to generate pressure and sacks.

However, from what seems to be circulating, Young is the type of talented player that doesn’t stick to the assignment and goes for the glory plays, not always listening to Coach. Kocurek is a proven gem of a DL coach, but I get the feeling that if the coaching continues down a trajectory that doesn’t leave the pass rush in good spirits, Young may well be the type of guy who stirs up locker room trouble, if these reports are true. That being said, if Wilks can make the right adjustments over the bye, we definitely have the leadership to get Young to buy in and play his role in taking us all the way.

Just my two cents on how this might unfold. Lots of pressure on Wilks now.

5 former first round picks on the DLine. If Wilks can’t win with that, we have bigger issues.
