KOC inherited a good offense that won last year in spite of the defense. I give him a lot of credit for recognizing a change needed to be made on defense and hitting a homerun with Flores.

Despite a slow start this season, the Vikings were finally hitting their stride before Kirk’s injury. In my opinion, this will be the first real test of KOC’s tenure and a great indicator of the type of HC we have. If he can keep this team competitive and in the playoff hunt until the end, the future is bright for this franchise.

Show me a great coach and I’ll show you a great quarterback. It’s a heavy generalization but if a coach can do well with a non elite QB, maybe they are pretty decent. Maybe Pete Carol is one of the best examples. You may have thought he was good because of Russell but maybe he’s just a great coach?

How many real tests does KO need for you guys this year lol first we had a guy saying he needed to beat the Niners MNF to prove he belongs in the league, now he has a less than ideal QB situation with his true backup QB being on IR with an injured back.

We can chill with the litmus tests and let the guys just play ball. I wouldn’t say this is a real test for him as a HC in a game where hes forced to start a rookie 5th round QB. This game nor the rest of the games should hold weight on him as a HC in this league, not many succeed in the situation we’re currently in.
