Im currently in the works of upgrading my old WiFi 5 router (came with provider) for a faster more modern one,

My two choices

1: TP-Link Archer AXE75

2: ASUS RT-AX59U

Pro’s from the AXE75 got WiFi-6e is sort of future proofing, however, only my laptop currently supports 6e, but im guessing i would notice a big difference on my laptop vs a normal WiFi 6?

Pro with the Asus router is that i can get it cheaper, still got WiFi-6, and ASUS (from what i’ve learned) is just more of a superior brand, also heard you have to pay extra for common functions on the TP-Link, firewall etc.

Question 2: Im currently running Cat5e cables to my router, my internet connection is around 500/500, should i switch over to cat6 cables as im changing router, or should i still be fine with Cat5e as it to can handle up to 1gbps? Or would i notice any difference in changing my cableing to?

Looking forward to your suggestions!
