This is mostly a more philosophical/toilet thoughts topic but…

Does any of you use them? For me, their quality/becoming a living ad aside, I pretty much only use sling straps, and they are just too short for that. Actually I feel it’s pretty crappy they can only be used on the neck, where even an average mirrorless/lens dangling for hours d certainly hurt you, instead of explaining/giving some alternative options new people could be oblivious about.

Isn’t it also a bit odd how manufacturers include just the same strap from their most entry models, up to the multi-thousand dollar flagships? Like, I don’t expect a PD strap with a, dunno 4000D, but wouldn’t you expect better if you a shelling $4000 or something?

Anyway, dinner time!

When I had Nikon cameras I used their straps for years. They worked fine. When I switched to a Canon R6 I bought a Peak design neck strap and I really liked it. I don’t think the Canon strap included is bad, just not as good. It has no quick detachment and it wasn’t as wide.
