From a business perspective for you think the Pegulas would find the WTA (if run properly like a proper sporting body) more lucrative than the Buffalo Bills? They haven’t made a SuperBowl since 1991 and not sure what that means but that sounds bad. Are they kinda like a mid team?

The Bills have been one of the stronger teams on the field the last 4-5 seasons. But as others have noted, NFL teams have such immense value - a few billion dollars each - with much of that driven by the league’s equitable TV contracts (all games are televised by national TV networks and all the league’s teams share equally in those billions of dollars paid by TV networks, and EVERY major over-the-air TV network in the U.S. is an NFL TV partner directly or indirectly) that even weaker teams and/or teams in smaller metro areas are highly profitable, especially if they aren’t paying off stadium debt.

As a Buffalo sports fan this thread gives me mixed feelings😂 On one hand it would be kinda cool if my three favorite things (Bills, Sabres, and WTA) were all ran by Pegula Sports Entertainment. Would be cool for Buffalo if they stepped in and actually saved the WTA, maybe we’d even get a 250 in the city haha. Terry did save the Bills as our previous owner passed and if he didn’t step up to buy them we likely would’ve lost our team, so for that I have to be thankful for him. But overall he is a pretty incompetent owner. Says he didn’t buy them for the money yet prices of everything go up every year. He doesn’t really know much about hockey or football and has failed to hire the right front office guys for the Sabres numerous times. It would also just be kind of annoying lol as if Terry Pegula basically holds the key to my happiness as a sports fan. It’s like when Disney bought Marvel and Lucasfilm and just snatched the key to my childhood.

Not only is Terry not a great owner but his wife Kim who is also co-owner of the Bills & Sabres as well as President/CEO of PSE recently had a cardiac arrest as some of you may know, so idk that the family is in a great spot for a move like this. Like many have said he’d probably have to sell the Sabres and then take on the WTA but why deal with the hassle when he has everything he needs in Buffalo. The Bills are a cash cow and he uses the Sabres as his write-off.
