I’ve played dota for about 6 months years ago but I just had some questions about competitive dota I don’t understand.
-
What is the extra suffix at the end of players’ names? For example, Liquid.Zai.(suffix).
-
How much all-chat and sprays are actually allowed in competitive dota? At what point does it ever infringe on the rules? Or is there no rules at all how much pro players can type or use the chat wheel in all chat in an actual game?
-
Do teams in dota not have a fixed yearly salary at all including big teams? I understand that teams pay the players for their gear, gaming house, groceries, flights and whatnot, etc. but do players not get paid an actual salary?
-
Kind of tying into my 3rd question, but are circuit points (qualifier points) tied to a player and not the team? So can 5 players who won a major just leave a team and make a new team and automatically qualify for ti under that new team? Does the majority of the community actually likes this system?
Thanks.
hi, the extra suffix is for teams’ sponsors. Salary depends from team to team, some dont pay any salary at all. As for DPC points, its more complicated than that. Players dont have DPC points, the teams do. Letting a player go will result in a penalty for the team. There are also roster locks to prevent that exact thing from happening, if you wanna learn more check out liquipedia. All that said, valve announced the end of DPC, so these things might (and probably will) change in the future
