Hello, I have a 06 dodge durango, 196k miles, 5.7 hemi. The truck has developed a misfire that cannot be diagnosed by me, my experienced mechanic friend, or a mechanic shop. The codes come up for p300 random/multiple misfire, p301 cylinder 1 misfire, and sometimes I get p1411 for mds cylinder shutoff and p0171 lean fuel on bank 1, this is leading me to believe it has something to do with the mds solenoid on that cylinder. The truck leaks oil a bit, about a quart a month out of the main rear seal, I know mds uses oil to work, so would sort of make sense but this developed 2 days after I got a oil change, and has never happened even when running low on oil consistently, the truck seems to run smooth at first start up when it’s cold, once engine gets to operating temp, sometimes also have to drive it to get it to start misfiring, runs smoothly when engine is cold unless I go past 20-30 mph. I’m hoping one of you has encountered this before, trying to repair my leaky fuel line on my blazed for transportation to college in mean time.
