Hello all, I’ve never modded MC besides adding shaders; but I had an awesome idea come to me in a dream that I’m determined to see become a reality (albeit with some help).
Like I said I’ve never really made a mod before so I just wanted to know how hard it would be to implement this:

Totem of Rebirth (Available Only in HC)
- Craftable consumable item that allows player to resurrect another player that has previously died in a Hard Mode world.

Revived player loses two hearts to their maximum health and gains Hunger I and Mining Fatigue I debuffs indefinitely.
- Subsequent resurrections for this player remove +1 max. hearts (up to 4 hearts lost on 3rd resurrection) and increases Mining Fatigue to Level II on the 3rd resurrection, and Level III on the 5th.

Player that uses Totem of Rebirth to revive another player loses one heart to their max. health indefinitely (up to 4 hearts lost on 4th consecutive use without cure); Player also receives Slowness IV for 5 seconds (Slowness VI for 10sec. + Blindness for 3sec. when used while 4-heart limit is reached)
- Subsequent resurrections for the same or other players have the same effect on the Totem user.
– Indefinite health-reduction and other applicable debuffs can be permanently cured by any player for 1 respective life via eating an Enchanted Golden Apple. - Resurrection debuffs take priority over Totem use debuffs. (Ex. Player uses 4 totems to resurrect various other players causing them to have -4 hearts, if said player dies and is revived by another player’s totem, they return with only -2 max. hearts and applicable debuffs.)
