I live just outside a large city and we drive everywhere in Texas. I’m gonna put miles on my BMW if I decide to buy it. I’m seeing people say stuff like 70k miles is a lot. Why would you go for a car that will go to shit 70k miles in? BMW’s depreciate very horribly too. And maintenance is high as hell. I’m just trying to find a better reason other than “the drive is nice”. FYI, looking at the 2024 BMW M4 competition convertible.

I hope I don’t just get bashed by this community—I’m really hoping to be convinced to cop this car. I just can’t pull the trigger knowing what I’m buying into.

Those people are full of shit. Most BMWs can go 200-250k miles without a major repair if you change the fucking fluids and don’t beat the crap out of the car. There’s BMWs that have gone past 250k miles, but those are outliers.

Sure, it costs more to get there than Toyota or Honda (or their “luxury” equivalents), but you’re paying the extra price for increased style, performance, luxury.

The M4 is basically a sports car in regular car clothing. If you’re not going to drive the car hard, just get a regular 4 Series
