I got charged $75 for an oil change (full synthetic) plus filter. This includes fluid top-off and tire rotation.

I remember an oil change with my Kia being like $45.

This is at a private mechanic (aka not the dealership), but a mechanic I know and like.

Does Toyota full synthetic actually cost this much or am I overpaying?

I buy the oil from Walmart for like 22 bucks (or costco if i wanna save a bit and get more). I then go to the dealer and get the filter plus washer for 8 bucks and do it myself. 30 bucks an oil change plus 20 or so minutes of my time. I advise all Toyota owners if they have the means to do the work on their own.

I pay $120 minimum in Canada regardless of getting done at a stealership or quick lube place. This is why I change my own oil now.
