So as most yesterday, I was a little annoyed we didn’t make a move for Young/Sweat/Hunter etc.
However, I think about the long game and how we have a lot of young talent and each year we build more and more depth.
Another offseason, key free agent signings, and smart draft picks, this team could go from good to great.
We are still very young. After reading some of the comments from the Commanders about Chase Young and his lack of discipline and wanting to make splash plays rather than play within the system, I don’t want that kind of guy here.
With Sweat, great player yes. But if we think Houston can be as impactful as last year when he returns, he put up better sack numbers and more pressure than Sweat did last year.
I think playing the long game is smart. Stick to the plan.
Going to trust Holmes here. We went from 3-13-1 to 9-8 and now will likely have 12-13 wins this year. He has a track record of success at this point.
We will win the division again next year, barring injury.
