Not to say his debut was “all luck”, because it wasn’t, but almost everything that could’ve gone right did. The energy was IMMACULATE because of homecoming weekend, the game was at Nissan, the team was rocking the blues, they had a whole extra week to prepare. Everything was in the titans favor and they showed out.
This week is different… short week, stingy defense, cold weather, tough away environment, watt will hit the QB a few times…
So what if he looks bad this week? Do people say week 8 was a fluke? Does tannehill come back next week if he’s healthy? Is there a controversy? Is there anything he can do either way that will be either a red flag or a green flag regardless of result?
Totally expect it, I’m more concerned with him learning along the way and improving slowly (Not every game).
He’s not the same guy but I see Jay Cutler so far. I just want him to prove that he’s better able to learn and mature.
I think it’s safe to say this sub will not handle a sub-par performance very well. But then again, we are all reddit virgins whose opinions should not be taken seriously.
Go fuckin tits and go Levis
I just want to see competence at Qb. A dumb pick is going to happen. Missed open wrs is going to happen. taking dumb sacks is going to happen. All I want is the positives to outweigh the negatives
I watched the new QB school video on Levis which brought me back down to earth quite a bit. However it’s nice to have a little hope after the last couple years of disappointment. Honestly I’m as equally as hyped bc I feel defenses will have to respect his deep ball which will lessen the box for Henry.
This team would be dumb not to let Levis play out the rest of the season.
I’m very curious about the adjustments Will makes going into Thursday night. I think checkdowns are going to be a huge emphasis to hone in some of the aggressiveness and to take the easy yardage.
Will is going to need those quick checkdowns to prevent that pass rush from generating turnovers and sacks.
Sure, people are going to say last week was due to getting tape on him if he fails, but we’re not trotting out a trigenarian veteran under center; this kid’s going to make his mistakes and learn from them. Just breathe and enjoy the rest of the season
Still immensely optimistic for the future which was admittedly in much doubt
Last Sunday was fun but my hopes aren’t up too high. Mariota had a very similar debut game and we know how he turned out. I’m cautiously optimistic for Levis but I’m not expecting anything.
How are you going to feel if he doesn’t?
Like I guess he’ll have to retire eventually, but after the 10 Super Bowl wins and multiple MVP awards - I think he’s earned a smooth transition to life in the booth calling Titans games for the rest of his days.
