I know what he is owed next year but I would just cut him and move on. The dude has shown to be a bad qb with no deep ball. He provides nothing over a guy like AOC (I don’t think he is the solution either) but I think you have to see what you have with AOC. If he doesn’t play well, then hopefully they don’t win another game and we are in a spot for a QB in the draft.
OP doesn’t understand how nfl contracts work. This is the same situation carr was in last year. We cut him in the off-season, and as long as he’s not injured we save a lot of money. If we cut him now we pay him that money. Not a hard decision
