Hi guys, just a PSA - watchout if your precious Framework is shipping through FedEx.

Once mine shipped from Taiwan I requested they hold it at a shipcenter for me to pick up instead of dropping it off at my front door.

They ignored it and delivered it to my address. I was out of town for a day, so I was nervous the whole day just hoping it wouldn’t get stolen.

Luckily it was still there when I got home. Also it took 7 days to ship, as it got held up at customs.

Glad you got yours OK, but warnings about shipping companies are a bit pointless because everyone is going to have a different experience based on their country, national and local FedEx/UPS/DHL locations, road/weather conditions, and performance of each individual delivery driver.

Local location is who this is on. Both of my laptops, FedEx has required a physical signature.

So much of your experience with a delivery company depends on the local office and drivers.

Just got my amd board for my 13 today. FedEx tried to deliver Monday, didn’t leave a tag or anything. Tried to deliver yesterday, left a tag for me to sign, so I did. I was home all day today, got the notification that FedEx tried to deliver, but there was never a doorbell, never a knock. I checked my security cameras and the guy pulled up to my mailbox, stuck a tag on it and left. I had to wait until after 5 to pick it up at a Walgreens, package was torn and partly crushed.

I seriously doubt this main board I’ve been waiting months for will even work.

FedEx is the absolute worst in the Kansas City area. Had similar problems with a brand new dji drone and FedEx shipping last month.
