I know achievements will dictate whether he’ll belong or not but as a player, and the skillset he possesses, do you think he will be talked about like how Steph Curry is being talked about as a shoe-in for Top 10 status?

I think yes because at the core of his game, he is a Top 5 offensive player of all time and it would’ve been sealed had he won MVP and FMVP this year (what a travesty giving it to Embiid). He is statistically as impactful as Michael Jordan and that says a lot.

Looking at his game, he’s the perfect offensive center who can do it all minus the athletic feats. He’s like Magic Johnson but he’s a more reliable and more efficient scorer who mainly playmakes from the high post.

The thing with Jokic is, his game is built to last. It isn’t reliant on athleticism and will be a consistent threat unless he retires early. I honestly think he’ll be in the mix for Top 10 when all is said and done.

I love Jokic but new players cracking anyone’s top 10 depends on a persons consistency with their lists and who they have 10th. If you are a person who value peak and not longevity and have someone like Bird 10th then Jokic can pass him and hence be top 10. If you are an accolade person, Jokic may never get there, given the parity in the league today.

If he plays til 35+ I think so. If he retires early to vibe with his horses most likely not.

Why do people still complain about embiid mvp? Jokic deserves it but its a regular season award & embiid was better there.

We don’t know what will happen to Analytics in basketball, but it’s safe to assume they will keep getting better and become more important. And it’s entirely possible that future analytics will decide Jokic is top 10 even the greatest ever.

Tbh, if he continues walking this current path, I’d have him in top 5. It’s always unlikely but he has IT, something very rarely seen in a player.
