Obviously, any show without Ernie, Shaq, Chuck and Kenny is bound to be fighting an uphill battle in the NBA TV space, but ESPN doesn’t even come close. They’ve got their two highest-paid personalities in Stephen A Smith and Mike Greenberg, they’ve put Malika Andrews in the mix, Michael Wilbon, and now Bob Myers to replaces guys like Jalen Rose. It feels like, no matter what lineup ESPN puts out for their show, it just falls flat and it often feels forced like they’re trying too hard to create social media moments. The lack of a proper postgame show also doesn’t help them.
What do you think? Why is the gap so big between the two shows, in your opinion?
