Hello small business redditors,

I was looking for help on selecting a small business insurance. I have looked through a couple of different companies (Next, Chubb, Three, Flip…) but have either been told they don’t have coverage for me, or if they do I want to make sure it is right for me but am confused. Below is my business. Any suggestions on which company to us or what type of policy to get would be helpful. Even talking with some of the customer service people has not been helpful so I turn to you Reddit community.

My business is an LLC and acts as a independent distributor for an small manufacturing equipment company that makes boba tea cup sealers. Basically I sell their cup sealers to boba tea shops across the US. I do not physically hold any inventory. I sell in the machine to the account who pays me directly. I then place an order from the manufacturer who ships the equipment from their warehouse to the customer directly and has an installation technician install or repair the systems. I don’t not physically install or repair system just help coordinate the details (date and time of installing, point of contact, etc.) for the install company.

My issue is I had one insurance company tell me they don’t deal in food equipment (it does not make food but I guess sealing a cup is part of that?), another company said they don’t insure people who are distributors, and a third company said they need to look into the best option for me but I have yet to hear back from them.

Thank you in advance for any help you have to offer.
