We see after every season how people turn on players in the recent years after giving them so much praise and how they uplift one player after one season

Unfortunately I don’t think Lauri Markkenan will be able to repeat his insane scoring season again and will be back to “Pretty good starter” level

Evan Mobley has a chance to be exposed for not having much scoring capability at all. Need to see a step forward offensively.

I’ve seen a lot of All-Star buzz around Paolo Banchero, but it seems like year 3 is when most guys make that jump

People have unreal expectations for wembanyama right now. Some of them will definitely turn on him when he doesn’t put up 30/10 every game.

Everyday I pray on wembys downfall. Not for him to get injured or anything, just for him to average a “measly” 22/7/5/2 and have everyone leave the bandwagon

Haliburton if the Pacers aren’t a playoff team. This is way more predictive on my part, I think Bane will have a huge year numbers wise and people will begin to think of him as better than Morant, which I believe he already is.

I’m very surprised by the hype Poole is still getting, he may shoot a ton and score but it’s not going to be efficient. He and Kuzma are going to look a ton like Rozier+Oubre did last year for Charlotte. They’re great 4th options, not 1st and 2nd.

He is still going to be a good player with a bad team around him

Ending his career as a “good player” with no mvps or rings would be a massive let down tho, and the Celtics are kinda entering that point where the teams they put around him are gonna get worse and worse esp with the new CBA

People who are high on Poole will find out how empty his calories are and turn on him so fast.

Definitely Shai. I think his stats will come back to earth a little, and if he makes the playoffs, I could see him struggling a bit due to his lack of three-point prowess and his heavy reliance on his albeit very good driving ability and midrange game

I think T Hali is just a borderline all-star and don’t see him getting a lot better.

Think A Edwards is going to become a star (like a lot of others think).

People are low on Trae. He had a slump season with poor efficiency, and a poor showing in the playoffs.

But this year he has an actual coach with an actual offensive system, so in theory he will get more open looks and his FG% will go up, he will have more open guys and will have less turn overs, and he will have more energy to spend on the defensive end as well as a better defensive strategy around him(we saw an increase in defensive effort at the end of last season with Quinn, and that has reportedly been the hawks main focus). We also have some young guys who are looking very good, Hunter seems to be stepping into his role better, and should just have a much better team under Quinn overall.

Plus, Trae thrives under hate, and he has been getting tons of flack and he was snubbed from the FIBA team. With the Olympics coming up, Trae will have a chip on his shoulder to prove himself.

This will be his best season yet, by far.
