id start him out as DB coach then work his way into def cord.
Would be cool but also indifferent. If he sucks we’d lose a bunch, if he’s good/great, he’ll be head coach in a year or two.
Make him DB coach first and promote Kocurek to DC.
Our DBs routinely get beat and play soft. Sherm would get them playing with more attention to detail.
Not sure he would want to leave a cushy TV analyst job to take a high pressure, long hours coordinator job. Not a lot of NFL superstars make the jump to coaching. I think they don’t want that type of time commitment.
