In all my years as an NBA fan, I have rarely seen NBA stars and high-profile rookies play in the pre-season games until the 2023-2024 season. What changed?

    They’ve always played. I do think teams like the Warriors playing multiple extended minute games with their stars is a little different but they’re also a team that made multiple changes to their roster and took the time to develop chemistry amongst these additions. Rookies have always played.
