Till this day, we still have no clue how powerful WBG is.
how bad was G2? 😭
NRG was just outclassed overall, however props to them for trying their hardest and giving the West hope. We can’t see how strong WBG really is until their next series.
The real question everyone should ask is: How fking bad was G2 actually ?

I think my favorite part about worlds in this instant is that of the seven teams remaining, I feel like each and every team has a legitimate shot to actually win worlds.
T1 has maybe the most talented roster individually, and they look incredibly in form
JDG isn’t much behind in talent, and have won all 3 events they’ve been in so far
GENG, also not far behind in talent, and has looked great throughout worlds and LCK playoffs
LNG bringing JDG, perhaps the best team in the world, to the brink in every series they play, with imo the best player in the world rn in scout
KT going 17-1, winning pre playoffs LCK summer split
BLG going 15-1, winning pre playoffs LPL split
Weibo, though arguably way lower than all 6 other teams, with some incredible talent, including three previous international tournament winners, many of them often carrying their teams in those tournaments.
Like the absolute absurd amount of talent remaining in the tournament is just chefs kiss
1 Upset and they claim they’re better than EU. The GAP between EU and NA is as big as CN/KR and EU. Just how 2018 G2 won vs RNG and TL won vs IG we got robbed of the only western hope. I doubt NRG is even better than C9. NA can’t win a game vs CN/KR at worlds since 2021 they need to rethink their future. If you can’t win a game how can you even show up at these tournaments.
JUST A Draw DIFF.
As an EU fan I wish NRG at least took a game so NA would be able to trashtalk us next year and push us forward but I guess we’re back together in the plain sadness of a widening gap
The west has no place at worlds if even our best team can’t take a single game off of arguably the worst eastern team at worlds (not counting GAM).
I love how MAD lions had a part to play in this alternate universe timeline. Any other team than Mad or G2 and this team doesn’t reach quarters maybe not even g2.
MAD is the ultimate downfall of our region.
People shitting on NRG losing to WBG are ignorants who doesn’t watch LPL. Yes, do they INT a lot but their potential is higher than JDG. Give credit where credit is due, NRG put up a good fight today but it wasn’t enough for WBG talent wise among each land
I guess this is the NRG that went 0-7 against G2 in scrims.
