So, I’m having an issue with an external HDD I use as a backup drive. It’s starting to fail and I am wondering if I should use an SSD for a backup instead (I have a spare SATA one from Micron).
I have seen people mention that SSDs are not good for long-term storage when they are left powered off. If I power on the SSD once a month when I do my backups will I be fine or should I just use an HDD?
