The Lakers-Clippers game is the first regular season game done by the former Warriors GM Bob Myers in ESPN and I have to say, it has been a pleasant experience to listen to his commentary more from an executive overview. He has a great voice and can elaborate on his idea clearly and provided some great insight during the game without sounding too boring. A great pairing with Dave Pasch too who’s an underrated play-by-play commentator as well.
Like I have said before, NBA games on TV is a form of product. Not everyone has the voice to do broadcasting and commentary on air well, some voice are just too shrilled and affects the viewers a lot. Based on the interview done before the season begins, ESPN plans to pair him with either Dave Pasch or Mark Jones this season. These three commentators have a silky smooth voice and I do look forward to other games called by them.
