Alright, so I posted this to the Microsoft subreddit and didn’t really get any answers. So, I’m gonna try here. I’ll start with some background info:

I have a Microsoft account linked to my PS4/PS5, specifically for Minecraft. When I logged into Minecraft, I saw that I had to log back into my Microsoft account. (Figured this was because I had deleted Minecraft and re-downloaded it.)

Upon attempting to log into my Microsoft account, I was met with the message:

“Your account has been locked. We’ve detected some suspicious activity that violates our Microsoft Services Agreement and have locked your account.”

What follows below that is the instructions to unlock my account. Now, I don’t hack, don’t have mods, and my username isn’t something that would violate terms. What I’m worried about is that over the summer I received multiple emails notifying me that there were login attempts made on my account, I ignored this, as I figured they were spam emails. Now? I’m worried my account may’ve been hacked.

How do I proceed from here? Do I unlock my account, then un-link it from my PS5, then delete it?

Should I just un-lock it then leave it as it is?

Or should I just leave it locked and not play Minecraft?

Any and all advice is appreciated.
