I was reading another thread where they said playing as Ellie while Joel defends you is one of the best interpretations of an escort mission, because you got to see everything that you did in the first game now in her perspective.

It got me thinking if people will warm up to it as time goes on. To me, I think despite its pacing issues, it told one of the best and most emotional stories, not just in video games, but media as a whole.

Do you think TLOU2 will always be a polarizing game or will public perception of it get more positive as time goes on?

Honestly I didn’t like it, I think of they did the abby stuff first before the whole Joel thing or didn’t show that bit and let you grow with her and then show to the Joel thing as s shock then played as Ellie on revenge I’d have liked it more.

But the way they did it making me play someone who just killed someone I liked although flawed himself made it tough I had to put the game down for a week before I could pick it up again

It’s not a bad game just felt the story was a slap in many ways personally
