Why? Ajax have games in hand so might survive relegation, should’ve been given time.

The adventure of Maurice Steijn (49) at Ajax has been limited to four hectic months in good consultation. The trainer, who dropped to seventeenth place in the Eredivisie due to the defeat at FC Utrecht (4-3) with Ajax, is held responsible for the dramatic performance of the Amsterdam club.

The timing is perfect. Get Peter Hyballa while he’s available.

You just had an international break. If things were this bad, why not fire him BEFORE the break and let the coach prepare everything during the international break.
