This was really bad on Reddit where a picture or video would get cross-posted on several subs, and people would vote them up. I can understand that in Reddit there was a clout with having high karma, but that isn’t the case here on Lemmy. But as someone who browses all, I’ve been seeing it more lately. What would the purpose of it be in Lemmy?
