I only play Civ on the earth map with historical spawn points. This time I went for military/religion run Japan, and what the heck is this spawn point. You’re spawned at the islands of Honshu, Kyushu and Hokkaido, so basically like only 6 fields, and surrounded by deep water. Basically you are extremely handicapped until you invent boarding your units to ships. Now I’m in industry era, with a huge science debt. Is there any good way to get out of that place? I went for the boarding science perk from the start.
