At his peak, drexler was the best shooting guard in the league second only to MJ. My question is how well do you think his athleticism and skill would transfer in todays game. What player(s) would you compare him to, and where would you rank him? In my mind I see him as a prime Demar Derozan type player which is meant as no slight to either one of them.
Like a lot of super athletic players from his era, Drexler would greatly benefit from today’s fast-paced, less physical form of play. When he got a full head of steam going towards the hoop about the only way to stop him was to hammer him.
