The most common sentiment expressed about this team is the offense is putrid (true) and the defense is excellent (true).

People go a step further, saying the defense is being “wasted” because of the offense. Which is also true. However, the defense is as good at it is partially at the expense of the offense, For whatever reason, the GM and HC seem to favor the defense. (For instance, after the offense’s poor 2022 performance, the first pick was a defensive player)

Obviously there are other factors, probably most importantly Aaron Rodgers’s deadbeat buddies stinking up the field.

But the defense is deep, an embarrassment of riches. And partially as a result, the unattended-to offense is just an embarrassment.

    Unattended?

They literally brought in a HOF QB, a WR1, one of the top RBs in football, a LT, a Guard who can play both Tackles, signed a Center, signed a Guard who came off a Pro Bowl season, and just drafted this teams future Center.

Everybody wants to blame somebody, but you want to know what the shocking truth is?

This defense has stayed healthy over the last two seasons, while the offense has had season-ending injury after season-ending injury at a level that is just unsustainable.

I recognize they brought in Rodgers but imo that was an moonshot to fix something that clearly needed more thoughtful holistic work (and also a pipe dream that Zach would come in after and be The Man).

The weapons are not there, they have two high level players in Hall and (G) Wilson. Injuries happen and yes the offense has taken its hits but what did they DO about it? What did they do about Zach’s “unpredictability”

The idea that no-one is to blame and this is all bad luck is mind-boggling to me.

our offensive pieces just haven’t worked out as well as the defensive pieces besides gw and breece

maybe because we have a real coach on defense and then gase + 2 nepo-hires on offense

becton - been hurt most of the time

    mims - super bust

    zach - super bust

avt - been hurt most of the time

    moore - super bust

    mcrb - bust

davis, lazard, laken, dalvin, uzomah - all bad signings

    and then obviously rodgers…

this is a brutal list lol. we needed a lot of these guys to work out and they just haven’t

one thing i find weird about douglas’s draft strategy is the lack of oline in the mid-rounds. there should be some kind of developmental pipeline for these guys

This idea that “well, the offense was built and designed around Rodgers, what do you expect” doesn’t really hold water when they have had eight games plus a bye to adapt. Football is not THAT complicated.

What’s hilarious to me is that (unless maybe if Aaron demands otherwise) I’d bet a month’s salary that our first or second pick next draft is a defensive guy(s) 😂 🤦🏼‍♂️
