Hey guys,

Now that winter’s coming up, I’m keen to pick up snowboarding. I just bought a 2019 718 Cayman and gonna sling some winter tires on it, and wondering if I can get specific recommendations on a good balance of wet/rainy city driving, as well as ability to drive up mountains. Budget shouldn’t be an issue.

I hear studded winter tires are actually worse off for wet roads but I’m no expert!

In addition, the car is pretty low to the ground which is my primary concern when mountain driving. Are there any other precautions I should be aware about? Foggy mirrors, etc.

Winter snow tires over all season since they are primarily for winter only. Also, generally, winter tires are basically beat at 50% wear.
