Obviously this is small sample size for the current season but they played 99 mins together, they have 105 offensive rating which is horrendous considering clippers ranked at 9th offensive rating in the league with 114 offensive rating (1st in half-court offense (104.9). They also have almost 117 defensive rating and clippers ranked at 7th defensive rating in the league with 107 defensive rating. Clippers got 7.3 net rating but Norm and Bones got -11 net rating. We got consider they shared floor mostly with Plumlee at center which their ratings get even worse when they play next to him. They shared floor with russ in 3 guards lineup. They also shared floor with PG and Kawhi.
The point of this post clippers are going struggle with their bench and might lose games just like last year when Norm was sharing the floor with luke or reggie. This is not a post to shit on bones or norm but basically the moment we got harden, their usage rate went down, the amount of FG’s will go down and those 2 things are the stuff they are supposed to do when they are on the floor. They are not known for defense or rebounding.
I’m just an armchair expert. But my crazy idea on how to fix it. Is you keep Russ in that starting line up with Norm and the rest of the starters. Then you have Harden come off the bench as second unit with Bones and who ever.
