I’m sitting at work, and like most of you, I’m anxious for Sunday. Bye weeks feel like forever for us fans, so I started thinking about the DPJ trade. I’m excited. Admittingly, I dont have my hopes too high, but I started thinking about it… hear me out.

When the season started last year, we Missed Chark during our first stretch of games, Jamo was also not playing yet. By the time we started rolling, a big reason for it was Chark in the lineup.

Jamo has a split fanbase where you either hate him already or you are patient and want to see him succeed. I fall in the bracket that likes him, and i want to see him improve. We dont need him to be Tyreek Hill, just a threat that needs constant attention.

The one thing we missed from last year was a consistent TE on routes after the Hockensen trade. Thats not a knock on Brock Wright, but regardless how you feel about Hock, he was a consistent target for goff on offense.

Now we have Laporta, who has been nothing short of a superstar, and is a huge part of keeping our drives rolling. I dont have stats with me, but a good portion of our 3rd down conversions are going to Laporta.

So theoretically speaking, we did not have the pass catching TE, with the deep outside threat together at all last year. And now we have both. Oh, and not to mention that one guy ARSB. He’s pretty good right?

Oh, thats right. We also got that one guy, whats his name… ? That rookie we were upset about drafting that balled out against the ravens and torched the Raiders. Gibbs? Yeah he’s looking good. And Montgomery a checks stats top 5 in rushing TD’s for a running back EVEN AFTER TAKING A FEW WEEKS OFF.

I guess what I’m saying is… I dont know if its the kool aid talking, but we haven’t seen this yet. We have seen glimpses of every aspect of this offense, but we haven’t seen it all together on the field at the same time, and we will, soon.

PS: I love Josh Reynolds and leaf. This isnt a anything against them. While they have had major roles in this offense in their own right, neither of them are true every-down outside threats. What they bring is also another layer in this already stacked offense, i just think this DPJ is going to be a big upgrade in the coming weeks.

Sorry for grammar errors and such if there are any. See y’all on Sunday!
