The way they nerfed him doesn’t solve the main issue with his character design, because the only way he feels effective in a match is by spamming his heals and pulling the tank when they are low health.
So, my goal is to attack his weakness and lower where he is over performing as well as making his playstyle more fun.
I’ll explain his new playstyle at the end
*Notice that every value could change slightly since I don’t have the tools to test the exact number.
Healing blossom: 70>>120.
Healing blossom ammo: 16>>4.
Healing Blossom reload time: 3-4 seconds.
Healing Blossom reload while in thorn volley: 3-4 seconds.
Thorn volley: Slightly increased projectile speed.
Petal platform HP: 400>>300.
Petal platform: Elevates faster.
Life grip heal: 50>>0.
Rejuvenating Dash Selfheal: 50>>25.
Rejuvenating Dash: distance increased by ~2 meters.
Tree of life: Max over health 100>>75.
Life weaver keeps getting insane healing and low damage numbers after a match because it’s the only thing he can do, and that won’t change by decreasing his healing by 5. So, let me explain his new gameplay.
The goal of these changes is to shift his gameplay from spamming heals to a more fluid style that involves utilizing both healing and dealing damage. Players can use the four healing charges to sustain their team during combat. When these abilities are on cooldown, there is a downtime period. Instead of waiting for 3-4 seconds to recharge, players can opt to switch to Thorn Volley or other abilities (this will also reload the charges) and repeat the cycle. This allows you to deal damage and heal, similar to other support heroes (e.g., Baptiste’s heal-shoot-heal-shoot), without compromising the effectiveness of either aspect.
His dash is now more effective for mobility, but it doesn’t restore too much of his health lowering the frustration of “HE IS ONE HE IS ONE oh forget it”. The platform increases its utility, but without the frustration of shooting deployables.
Please let me know if you disagree with the way I would fix him or if you have alternative suggestions for improvement. Additionally, if anyone is skilled with the workshop and would like to help implement these changes, I would greatly appreciate it.
