Check engine light does not come on

I had my smog passed for a bad catalytic which had the check engine light on. Now my car won’t give me the check engine light anymore and before i got it passed, i kept clearing it with my own scanner tool and it would always come back within 5 min. After they passed my smog it doesn’t come up anymore and i’ve driven for multiple sessions.
