Anyway to turn that off? It drives me nuts! Started with TVOS17. This is the 4K 2021 (I think) model. Not the newest one.

I’ve been having the same issue, started after my receiver’s firmware was updated the other day oddly enough. Either on 17.1 or 17.1.1.
Yes it’s annoying. Every time I turn on my Apple TV there it is.
Installing the 17.2 developer beta stopped the problem. 👍👍👍👍👍
