Watching Knicks vs Spurs right now. He’s super solid and clear and makes good points about the game in front of him. Then I checked how old he is now and I realized he turned 90 a little over a month ago! Holy cow. I don’t know any 90-year-olds who would be able to color commentate on a fast-paced basketball game. What do you think his secret is?

    I love the Hubie appreciation thread. Hubie is the stark opposite or JVG, Doris and Mark Jackson. Dude is a basketball purist.

    Hubie is knowledgeable and very sharp. Still can’t stand his commentary though. He clearly has a rooting interest in most games and actively cheers on his chosen team as if he’s a fan. For 90 though, it’s a pretty remarkable job that he’s still working in TV.
