Cade started 1-8, ended 11-27. That means he went 10-19 after the bad start. Honestly, he needs to learn how to leverage his ability to create for himself into getting to the line. He relies on jumpers and contested layups way too much. If he learns how to get to the line, I genuinely can see him averaging 27-30 points per game. Call me crazy, but he’s already at 24 PPG on 41% shooting. Imagine getting to the line 5-8 more times a game. Aside from that, these are young team losses. The process of becoming a winning team is generally expedited by having good vets. Ours are injured so the team is organically learning how to play winning ball in the NBA. Good thing is this might mean we have a TON of depth when everyone comes back. Monty looks like a good development coach but not an X’s and O’s coach. Kind of the opposite of Casey in a way. Tough loss, but I’ll take these over the debacles against OKC, NO and Portland.
