My eyes tell me that the team has bought in. We have one of the youngest rosters in the league and play hard every night. Defensively we are communicating and despite the injuries remain competitive. If you were realistic about how the season would play out we are overachieving to this point. PaTiEnCe rip city ✌🏾
I’m still somewhat skeptical but I can’t deny the effort and fight we’ve seen so far. I genuinely hope they keep it up and he turns out it be a good hire.
I think there’s different roles coaches can provide. There’s coaches that are better at developing young players and teaching the NBA game and there’s coaches that are better at getting the most out of vets and matchups.
Chauncey definitely has a style he wants his team to play and he’s getting out of the young guys. I don’t know if he has the Xs & Os to take a team far into the Playoffs (not a knock, just haven’t seen him with vets that fit his style)
He might not have the Playoff chops, but so far his been doing a great job with this youthful rebuild. They definitely fall flat at times, but they’ve been competitive way more than I hoped (especially with injuries mounting)
