I am in a 12-team league with a heavy keeper component (auction draft) that has been going for about 15 years. All 12 owners are heavily invested and engaged.
Every year at the trade deadline (was tonight this year), owners are either buyers or sellers, resulting in an immensely stacked top 6 teams or so and completely depleted bottom 6.
Below are some of the trades that happened this year at the deadline:
-
Roschon Johnson and Tank Bigsby for Mahomes and Butker
-
Mike Evans and Tyjae Spears for Diggs and Javonte Williams
-
Brian Robinson, Dotson, Pickens, Sutton, and Rhamondre for Josh Jacobs, DHop, Davante, and DK
-
Kyler Murray and Kincaid for Keenan Allen
-
Zay Flowers and Kendre Miller for Travis Kelce and Zack Moss
-
Khalil Herbert, Drake London, and Garrett Wilson for Justin Jefferson, Ekeler, Jakobi Meyers, and Josh Kelley
How would you feel about being in this league? Personally, I love it - but at the same time I feel like our league is going to fall apart due to everyone having meltdowns at the trade deadline every year.
To clarify, players are kept in following years with the formula:
$200 auction. One auction dollar equals one real dollar
