The past couple years when a Stafford injury forced multiple missed games, Mcvay has also been forced to look elsewhere for a QB because he could no longer stomach starting his backups (Wolford, Perkins et. al). Similar to how Baker Mayfield finished out the year with the Rams, Mcvay chose Carson Wentz as insurance just in case Stafford doesnt come back.

Even before his thumb injury, Stafford was putting up mediocre fantasy performances. Do you guys think that Puka and Kupp have a better ROS outlook if Wentz stays the starter? or would Wentz be even worse than Stafford throwing with a sprained thumb?
