So I got some new converse cons today in 2 sizes and it got me wondering if anyone else does this too.

I’m a 10W in my Asics runners but it feels like I’m a 11 in any other more narrow sneaker like my cons. Is it normal to compensate for the width by getting a longer shoe? Or am I a freak of nature?

I also got some vans old skools with the pop cush insole and I’m more comfortable in an 11 in them with the insole.

What’s even crazier is that in these converse cons, the 10.5 feels roomier if I take out the insole and put my daily ones in. The 11s almost feel too roomy with my insole, like my foot is moving around in the shoe, my insole is a bit thinner.

Write to your local congressman to standardize shoe sizes because this is the worst part of buying shoes.

Totally normal! Even I find sizing to be inconsistent at times. What’s crazy is that it can happen to the same shoe that is produced in two different years (ex. Jordans from 2013 vs Jordans from 2023). Safest way would be to really just try them on before you buy 😂🥲
